Classes 20(ii) and 20(iv) A curved rib section for an arched building comprises two similarly curved flat metal flanges 1, 2 spaced apart by spaced flat metal plates 3 welded along the longitudinal centre lines of the flanges 1, 2. A semi-circular arch is formed of three rib sections 4, 5, 6 secured end-to-end by fish plates. Base plates 11, and purlin cleats 13, may be provided.
