694,180. Indicators for switches. COMMUNICATIONS PATENTS, Ltd. Oct. 25, 1951 [July 25, 1950], No. 18571/50. Class 38(v) The actuating lever 8 of a key-switch is made wholly or partially of light-permeable material and has coloured or other portions 10, 11, 12 which serve to vary the colour or intensity of the light reaching the roughened end surface 8 of the lever from a lamp 14 when the lever is moved from one position to another. The lever is flat and has a roller 9 on each face adapted to operate a corresponding set of contact springs. The beam of light from the lamp 14 passes through a slot in a shield 15. In a modification the lever is of metal with a light permeable handle, and one or more passages are provided in the metal to allow the passage of the light.
