Abstract
691,409. Package; cartons. INTERNATIONAL CELLUCOTTON PRODUCTS CO. Feb. 22, 1951 [March 18, 1950; Sept. 16, 1950; Oct. 6, 1950], No. 4317/51. Classes 18 and 94(i) A dispensing package of sheet material comprises a stack of interfolded sheets doubled on itself transversely of the fold lines of the sheets, and a container for said doubled stack, having means providing a dispensing opening through which the sheets are withdrawable from the stack. A stack 1 of U- or Z-folded interleaved sheets with a tape-like pull-out strip 9 (or 19) underneath the upper ply of the top sheet is doubled on itself transversely of the folds of the sheets with the pull-out tape on either the inside, Fig. 2, or the outside, Fig. 6. The ends of the tape are brought together, they may be bonded together, and the stack is placed in a carton 12, Fig. 3, having a hinged opening flap 13, with the ends of the pullout tape adjacent said opening. The opening may be arranged parallel to the edges of the sheets; the pull-out tape may be secured to the top sheet. The tape may be dispensed with and the corners of the inner sheet of the folded stack gathered together so as to project from the stack, Fig. 9. The folded stack may be arranged in the carton with the folded parts of the sheets adjacent the opening flap, Fig. 15, and the inside sheet partly withdrawn.
