Abstract

689,879. Anti-slipping shoe attachment. MORRIS, N. M. July 31, 1951, No. 18109/51. Class 17 (ii). A bar 1 intended to run longitudinally of the sole of a shoe to which the attachment is to be applied, carries rigidly attached thereto a cross. bar 4 at the outer ends of which are rigidly secured arms 5, 13 which follow the contour of the sole edges. An adjustable connection is formed in the cross bar 4 to provide widthwise adjustment and a similar connection between the rear end of bar 1 and a projection 18 on a heel plate 19 provides for longitudinal adjustment. Straps 15, 16, 21, 22, serve to secure the attachment to a shoe. Ground engaging projections are provided on the underside of the parts 5, 13, 19 and also, if so desired, on other parts.
