689,841. Coated fabrics &c. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Jan. 19, 1951. [Jan. 20, 1950] No. 1555/50. Class 140. [Also in Group IX] Articles comprising a synthetic linear polyester obtainable from a glycol of the formula HO(CH 2 )x OH, wherein x=2 - 10, and terephthalic acid in admixture with one or more different dicarboxylic acids or not, have a continuous adherent coating of polyvinyl chloride together with a softening or plasticizing agent. The articles may be threads, yarns, cords, ribbons, textile fabrics, monofils and films. Coating may be effected by extrusion at say 160‹ or 170‹C. Tricresyl phosphate and polyprolylene adipate are specified as plasticizers for the polyvinyl chloride. Specification 599,097, [Group IX], is referred to.
