687,587. Water supplies. SHEPHERD & SONS, Ltd., J., and SHEPHERD, H. Dec. 27, 1950 [May 31, 1950], No. 13552/50. Class 68(i) An apparatus for periodically supplying water to a plurality of troughs 16, 17, 18 arranged at different levels comprises a tank 12 supported above the troughs, a tank 11 pivotally mounted within the tank 12 so that water introduced into the tank 11 at a constant rate from a source of supply 13 periodically causes tilting of the tank 11 so as to discharge its contents into the tank 12, a plurality of outlet pipes 14 entering the tank 12 adjacent the base thereof and leading downwardly therefrom for respective connection with said troughs, and an upstanding branch pipe 14a leading from the highest part of each outlet pipe adjacent the tank 12 with its upper end opening to atmosphere at a point above the normal water level of the tank.
