686,736. Endless-track vehicles. ZANG, D. R. June 15, 1951, No. 14206/51. Class 79 (i) A pair of bracket members 13 are each arranged to be fixed opposite one another to the inner faces of a pair of side frame members 11 of a track-laying tractor, a spreader bar 19 being rigidly affixed to the body of the tractor transversely thereof so that a pair of wear plates 16, 17 carried on opposite ends of the spreader-bar can engage a portion of the bracket members to enable vertical movement of the side frames relative to the spreader bar and prevent lateral movement of the frame members relative to the spreader bar. The brackets 13 each have a T-shaped head which is slidably engaged by the wear plates 16, 17. These wear plates are contained in a housing 18 attached to the spreader bar 19. The plate 16 is secured to the housing 18 while the plate 17 is carried on a spring loaded pin 21 which slides in an aperture in the housing; it is adjusted for any desired friction by bolts 23. The frames 11 are also each attached to the tractor body by a transverse spring.
