684,298. Pistons. BENDIX-WESTINGHOUSE AUTOMOTIVE AIR BRAKE CO. April 23,1951 [April 27, 1950], No. 9424/51. Class 122(i) In a hollow piston 10 having a piston pin 20, a locking pin 38 has a pair of angularly related arms, one arm 40 extending transversely through the piston pin and through aligned openings 42 in the piston, the other arm 46 extending into an opening 36 in the skirt of the piston. The pin is made of springy material and the length of the short arm is such that when it is being sprung into the opening 36, the long arm is distorted.
