683,281. Electrically heated cooking vessels. C. R. V. T. C., Ltd., and BOLSOM, M. Oct. 14, 1947, No. 27558/47. Class 39(iii) [Also in Group XVII] The lid 4 of a cooking vessel 1 has a projecting peripheral hollow flange 10 which houses an electric resistance 11 and is formed to fit in close contact against the inside wall of an enlarged upper part 2 of the vessel. The flange 10 is also formed to fit over the base of the vessel in surface contact with a circumferenetial strip thereof. The lid carries a handle 15 and window 14 and is in two parts 8, 9 spun together to form the hollow flange. The resistance 11 is covered with fireclay or insulating beads and is connected to a socket connections 12 in the lid. When inverted, the lid rests on the handle 15 and socket 12. The walls of the vessel taper to the base, which may normally rest on a cross strip support 5.
