Abstract

681,072. Cartridge belts. BREVETS AERO-MECANIQUES SOC. ANON. April 23, 1951 [May 26, 1950], No. 9426/51..Class 92(ii) Relates to cartridge belts of the kind in which each link is made in two portions linked together by loops 3, 4, the forward portion having two cartridge-engaging clips 2a, 2b, and the rear portion having a single clip 1 located opposite the gap between the clips 2a, 2b. According to the invention the clips are open, that is they do not surround the cartridges C, and the loop 3 of the rear link portion is formed by an outwardly folded extension of the clip 1. In the construction shown projections 6, 8 on the loops 3, 4, respectively limit the degree of pivotal movement of the clip portions, and a raised part 9 in the loop 4 prevents relative displacement of the portions in a direction parallel to the axes of the cartridges. The clip 2b is shaped as shown and ends in a strip 10 which elastically engages in the groove near the base of the cartridge case.
