Abstract

679,778. Projection screens. STARKE, H. A. July 28, 1950 [July 30, 1949], No. 18908/50. Drawings to Specification. Class 97 (i). The screen comprises a front sheet of woven material which is relatively fine so as to be partially reflective and partially translucent, a second sheet of coarser translucent material in contact therewith and a backing of a still coarser opaque material in contact with the second sheet, all the sheets being sound permeable. Each sheet may be hemmed from separate widths of material, the hems being vertical, the selvages facing rearwardly and the hems in the separate sheets being staggered. The sheets may be stitched together. The margins may be bound with webbing to receive grommets. The finished screen may be sprayed with a fire retardant and/or bleaching solution.
