Abstract

1,128,746. Spinning processes: sizing. W. A. SCHOLTENS CHEMISCHE FABRIKEN N.V. 3 March, 1967 [4 March, 1966], No. 10115/67. Headings D1F and D1M. Spun warp yarns 1 are passed through a sizing bath 2, the excess solution is removed by rollers 3, the warp is them split by rollers 4, 5 into separate sheets, passed between strips of soft porous material 7 and finally dried. The soft porous material may be polyurethane foam, P.V.C. foam, pile fabric, teasled fabric or non-woven fabric.
