Abstract
676,401. Timepieces. ETERNA, Ltd. WATCH FACTORY. Sept. 26, 1950 [Oct. 21, 1949], No. 23539/50. Class 139 A plate for positioning a watch or clock movement in its case has an elongated hole and two centring cones which cones are arranged on different sides of the plate and the axes of which are not co-axial. The plate 1, Figs. 1 and 2, has an elongated hole with a conical screw receiving part 2 and 5 on each side of the plate. The axes of said cones are not in line so that when attached to the movement by a screw 8 the end 1b, Figs. 3 and 4, of the plate projects over the edge of the movement by different amounts according to which centring cone is used. The plate 1 is curved so that when the cone 2 is used, Fig. 3, the movement is urged towards the bottom of the case, the shoulder 10 of the movement bearing against the shoulder 11 of the caseband 12, and when the cone 5 is used, Fig. 4, the movement is pressed against the dial 15, the shoulder 10 of the movement bearing against the shoulder 13 of the caseband 12.
