Abstract

751,246. Watches. UNITED STATES TIME CORPORATION. Feb. 28, 1955 [March 5, 1954], No. 6541/54. Class 139 In a watch case the back 2, Fig. 1, is fitted to the combined bezel and case band 1 by a bayonet type connecting means comprising symmetrically arranged lugs 12, Fig. 2, on a flange 13, Fig. 3, of the back and a groove 9 in the bezel 1, the outer wall of the groove having symmetrically disposed slots 11 to allow entry of the lugs into the groove. The lugs 12 are wedge shaped or inclined so that as the back is rotated to effect engagement a washer 10 is compressed between the flange 13 and the upper wall of the groove 9. The movement is supported on a ring 7, Fig. 1, having resilient feet 8 which engage the back which has key slots 15.
