Abstract
676,199. Musical instruments. LANGLOYS, R. J. M. C. Dec. 31, 1947. [Jan. 5, 1942] No. 35410/47. Class 88 (ii). Musical instruments of the type comprising a key-board controlling hammers which strike vibratory reeds with means for converting the vibrations into electrical energy for feeding a loudspeaker comprise a main prong secured at one end to a main support and a supplementary prong extending from the main prong. In Fig. 3 the main prong 13 has one supplementary prong 13a, and in Fig. 4, two supplementary prongs 13a, 13b. Fig. 8 shows a tuning fork and a current modulating coil 15. The prongs may be of various cross-sections and may be struck at an angle to produce harmonics. Specification 657,413 is referred to. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91, includes various means for producing harmonics, but this subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
