A lamp bracket comprises lengths of tubing 2, 3, 4 which fit together telescopically and rotate relatively, the lengths of tubing 3 and 4 being bent at an oblique angle to give a. larger range of illumination. The tube length 2 carrying the lamp 1 is bent at right angles, or, in a modified construction the tube 2 is bent at an obtuse angle and rigidly receives a straight length of tube carrying the lamp.
