Class 108(i) A vehicle door comprises a plurality of vertical slats hingedly connected along their adjacent vertical edges, wherein said slats are slidably suspended at their upper ends from a fixed track by hanger brackets formed as upward extensions of hinge pins of the hinge connections between adjacent slats and guided at their lower ends by a fixed guide member through rollers mounted on downwardly extending portions of the hinge pins of the hinge connections between adjacent slats, said track and guide member extending past the door opening and within at least a part of the adjacent walls of the vehicle body, and wherein means are provided for preventing upward displacement of the door relative to the vehicle. Each door, which is of the kind described in Specification 653,463, comprises a plurality of vertical slots 1 hinged together on adjacent edges, certain of the lower hinge pins being extended at 20 to support guide rollers 21 and certain upper hinge pins being extended upwardly to form an inverted U-shaped hanger bracket 10 each provided with a grooved door supporting roller 11 which runs on a fixed rail 12 and smaller rollers 14 adapted to engage the lower edge of the rail 12 to prevent upward movement of the door. Then end slats may engage a weather excluding strip on the vehicle body when the door is closed and may be stiffened by the addition of wooden battens. The Provisional Specification describes also an arrangement in which instead of mounting the inverted U-shaped brackets and the rollers upon the hinge-pins either or both of these parts may be secured to the top and bottom edges of each slat respectively.
