671,207. Drums etc.; banjoes &c. ANDERSON, W. M.. Sept. 21, 1950. [Aug. 8, 1950] No. 19673/50. Class 88 (ii). A drum skin 12, banjo vellum or the like is mounted on a flesh hoop' 13 engaged by a counter hoop 16 internally screw-threaded to co-operate with an externally screwthreaded member 14 secured to or integral with the body 10 of the instrument. The counter hoop 16 may be manually rotated by means of lugs 20 in order to adjust the tension of the skin 12. Releasable locking means may be provided for the counter hoop 16. According to the Provisional Specification, there is no counter hoop and the flesh. hoop is internally screw-threaded to co-operate with an external screw-thread on the body of the instrument.
