Abstract

295,753. Bohmann, J. May 20, 1927. Violins &c., chin-rests and supports for.-The device comprises two rigid plates a, b, shaped respectively to the chin and the shoulder and secured by screw clamps to the rim portions of the instrument without extensive surface contact therewith. Feet f on the chin-rest, and the upper surface of the shoulder-plate b, are grooved at f<1>, l, and are provided with pieces of felt g, m. The turnbuckle screws lie in grooves in the rear edges of the plates.
