Abstract
670,117. Collapsable tubes. SOC. INTERNATIONAL STYL CORPORATION INSCOR. July 27, 1949 [April 15, 1949], No. 19780/49. Class 66 [Also in Group V] A container 2 such as a collapsable tube, has a nozzle 3 of plastic material fixed around its orifice 4 by moulding it in position by an injection-moulding operation (see Group V), the mould comprising two sections 5, 6. To prevent rotation of the nozzle the wall 1 may have small holes around the orifice 4 into which the plastic material can flow and form the equivalent of rivets, or small recesses which may serve a similar purpose, or the orifice 4 may be non- circular. Plastic nozzles can be moulded on containers with flexible membranes, as described in Specifications 498,106, 499,521 and 503,010. The bore of the nozzle may have one of the three forms shown in Fig. 5 to prevent drops from forming. Specification 491,300, [Group XXII], also is referred to.
