Abstract

668,688. Mechanical toys. FISHLOVE & CO., H. April 24, 1950, No. 10033/50. Class 132 (iii). An amusement device (in the construction shown) comprises upper and lower plates 10, 12, simulating dental plates, hinged together and embracing a clockwork motor 18 which causes the plates to vibrate and to creep along on a flat surface. An escapement wheel 56 is allowed to rotate one tooth at a time by lips 61, 62 of a member 20 which is pivoted on the bottom housing plate 26 of the motor and which is secured to the lower dental plate 12. A coil spring 68 is attached to the rear of the plates 10, 12, and coacting with the escapement movement produces a rapid up and down movement of the plate 10. A clicking sound is produced by the escapement as the device vibrates.
