Abstract
Water - soluble derivatives of diethylstilboestrol are obtained by reacting sulpho-acetyl chloride with diethylstilboestrol in the presence of pyridine and, if necessary, treating the dipyridinium salt of the diethyl stilboestrol-di-(sulphoacetate) so formed with an alkali-metal or organic base so as to produce a salt of the said diethylstilboestrol-di-(sulphoacetate) with said base. As alkali metal base sodium hydroxide may be used. Specification 577,666 is referred to.
