Abstract

667,090. Wall &c. coverings. LINDSAY, Ltd., H., and LINDSAY, H. Jan. 28, 1950. No. 2279/50. Class 20(iv). [Also in Group XXV] A clip for securing sheet material to girders comprises a double angle bracket, the transverse angular section being of suitable width or provided with extensions or lugs to provide seating against the girder flange, one end having a hole which carries a a nut and bolt for securing the sheet material, the opposite end being drilled and tapped to take a set screw and locking nut for adjustment to suit the thickness of the girder flange. As shown, the clip 1 is a cruciform double angle bracket, the transverse angular section 2 having lugs 3 and a sharp angle at 4 to provide seating for the flange 6 of the girder 7. The clip is secured to the sheet material 5 by a bolt 10, the nut 9 of which seats between ribs on the clip. A set screw 12 bears on the flange 6. In another form Fig. 5, the clip is of relatively thin metal of plain section.
