Class 120(iii) A bobbin of the kind in which the barrel is formed from a laminated tube and the ends from a moulded synthetic resin. the ends being moulded on to the tube, is characterized in that one end B is first moulded on to the barrel A, its internal diameter being less than that of the barrel, the moulding core being then removed and the barrel A with moulded end B then placed on a second core of the same diameter as the inner diameter of the end B and a preformed piece C of moulded synthetic resin, the inner surface of which or a portion thereof is of the same diameter as the inner diameter of the barrel, is placed on the core in the barrel at the opposite end, this end being then completed by moulding the remainder of the end on to the preformed piece the outer surface of the latter having recesses so that the two parts of this end are locked together.
