Abstract
666,829. Furniture combinations. SEIFFERT, C. F. G. Nov. 3, 1950. [Nov. 7, 1949] No. 28441/49. Class 52 (iii). The headpiece of a bed comprises a narrow box-like member provided with illumination means therein adapted to throw light upwardly on to the ceiling. The headpiece 4 is provided internally with a lamp or lamps 10 preferably of the striplight kind, a translucent lid 8 and a baffle 12 being also provided. The space between the baffle 12 and the adjacent front of the headpiece may contain heat insulating material and a switch 11 is provided preferably in combination with a wireless receiver panel 14, having controls 16 and loudspeaker grille 15. The space below the partition 13 may serve as a cupboard or racks for small articles while cabinets 17 may be secured to the headpiece 4 by a lift-off action. The headpiece is preferably recessed to clear the skirting 7 to enable it to fit closely to the wall. A plug may be provided for an electric blanket or other electric accessories. A mirror may be secured to the front of the headpiece.
