666,441. Stentering machines. DECK, P. Aug. 6, 1949 [Jan. 13, 1949], No. 20494/49. Addition to 611,166. Class 42 (i). In a stentering chain one combined clip and pin member. as set forth in the parent Specification, instead of being formed integrally with a chain link, is mounted on upward extensions 2 of each pair of adjacent link pins 2b of a roller chain. As shown, each pair of pins 2b, to which the bent bracket 1 of a clip is secured by nuts 20, is fixed to a connecting-plate 2c which serves, together with the base of bracket 1, to provide the flanges of a roller chain link connected to the next similar link by a link 2a. When the clip arm 3 is in use, arm 12 covers the pins 9; when the pins are to be used, arm 12 is swung up, as in the parent Specification, to move the clip arm 3 to an inactive position.
