Abstract

666,030. Delivery of ice-creamcones. SERVENTI, G. Sept. 16, 1949 [Aug. 9, 1949], No. 20728/49. Class 116 [Also in Group XXX] Ice - cream cones are delivered singly from magazine 3 by hand, the spring tongues 19 retaining the remaining cones. As shown six magazines 3 are supported by spring clips 18 fixed to hollow post 8 and by plate 4, the latter having co-operating apertures and the whole forming a single unit; and the said unit revolves around fixed rod 11 secured to base 12 and between bearing 13 and flange 14 of hub 15 both bearing and hub being secured to the fixed rod 11. The unit is held in any one rotational position by a spring - pressed ball 27 seated in flange 14 and cooperating with six holes 28 in plate 4 of said unit. A spring device fixed to each magazine permits a cone to be removed from the stack of cones within each magazine. For dust prevention inner dished member 22 is fixed to the lower flange 16 of fixed hub 15 and outer dished member 25 is rotatably supported at the same point. Each dished member has an aperture through which a cone is extracted when the two apertures coincide. Closure caps 35 are fitted. Alternatively there may be one spring device 19 which is fixed to the base and the magazines may be plain tubes, the cones being ready to be discharged when a magazine coincides with the spring device.
