A stud of resilient mouldable material has a shank 2 and a base flange 3 which is concave at 5. Wholly embedded reinforcing washers 6 have corresponding holes 7 for the insertion of attaching means. In a modification, the washers are replaced by an apertured plate and, in a further modification, two shank portions are provided on a common base.
