Abstract
664,320. Preserving coconuts. YEO, N. S. Sept. 22, 1949, No. 24404/49. Class 49. The liquid contents and flesh of coconuts are preserved and rendered more palatable by removing the greater part of the husk from each nut and then storing the nuts at temperatures low enough to solidify the liquid contents. All the husk except a layer “ inch thick may be removed and the nuts may then be chilled, e.g. under water, to a temperature below 15‹ F. maintained for at least 20 hours.
