Abstract
662,942. Wrappers. JACKSON, D. R. P., and MOLINS MACHINE CO., Ltd. Jan. 10, 1950 [Jan. 26, 1949], No. 2137/49. Classes 94(i) and 94(ii). A blank for a block-ended packet has the material to form a tuck A separated from the material to form corresponding side folds B by slits 4 extending inwards from an edge of the blank for a distance equal to the width of a side fold said slits converging at an acute angle to each other from the edge of the blank to a distance apart equal to the thickness of the packet to be made from the blank whereby that edge of a side fold which is nearer the block end in a packet made from the blank is at an angle of less than 45 degrees to the end face of the packet and entirely within the area of the side of the packet. In forming the packet the tucks are first folded at right angles to the neighbouring end of the packet whereafter the long side folds are folded down in succession and secured to one another and to the corresponding tucks by adhesive.
