[Class 81(ii)] An orthodontic screw device comprises a pair of socket members 1, 2 in the form of bars adapted to be embedded in two parts 7<1>, 8<1> of a dental plate and formed at one end with screw-threaded projections 6 directed away from each other and receiving the ends of an expander screw having right-handed and left-handed screw threads 9, 10, said bars being formed at the opposite end with projections 5 extending towards and slidably engaged with each other by means of a pin 12 carried by one projection engaging a socket 13 in the other projection.
