[Class 28(ii)] In a food shredder or grater in which the food is forced through a removable perforated bottom G by a hand rotated helical plate B, the perforated bottom is formed from a single shaped metal sheet formed with a stepped upstanding periphery to fit the slope of the container R which is provided with internal projections h to engage a diametrically opposite pair of slopes f on the back of the steps thereby holding the bottom down and also preventing its rotation. The edges C of the steps also form cutting edges. The shaft of the hand rotated helical presser plate B is held down in a loop of a crossbar D engaged in side hooks formed on the container R.
