510,268. Strainers; mashing &c. devices. ETABLISSEMENTS SIMON & DENIS SOC. ANON. Jan. 31, 1938, Nos. 3032, 3033 and 3034. Convention dates, Oct. 27, 1937, Nov. 20, 1937 and Dec. 22, 1937. [Class 46] [Also in Group VI] In apparatus for mashing and straining vegetables &c. of the type in which a rotary crushing member in the form of a propeller vane 2 makes close contact with the perforated bottom 5 of the strainer, the perforated bottom is formed with one or more circular depressions or ridges and the edge of the vane is formed to correspond so that it contacts with the whole surface of the bottom. The Figures show in cross-section various forms which the bottom may take. As shown in Fig. 8 supplementary projections 14 in the form of saw teeth are provided at the top of the ridges. The bottom may be flat or convex. Specification 371,714 is referred to.
