658,825. Boxes. BORIL, J., and BORIL, Z. H. May 19, 1949, No. 13368. Convention date, Nov. 24, 1948. [Class 18] [Also in Group XIV] A case for a typewriter or like machine comprises a box 4 and a cover 1 carrying the machine on its interior surface, the box and cover being permanently attached to one another by laterally projecting pins 2 on the cover sliding in slideways 3 in the box thus enabling the machine to be moved readily from a stored position to a position of use, the box having front and rear supports 6, 6<SP>1</SP> which extend across the width thereof, the front support 6 serving to support the rear of the cover when the case is closed and form therewith a dust-tight seal, and the rear support 6<SP>1</SP> serving to support the rear of the cover when the case is opened. The rear support 6<SP>1</SP> abuts against the front of the cover when the case is closed and the front support 6 abuts against the front of the cover when the case is open. The supports may be made of plastic material.
