Abstract

656,922. Substation equipment. DAPHNE INVESTMENT TRUST. April 16, 1948, No. 10576. Convention date, July 30, 1947. [Class 40 (iv)] A telephonograph is automatically switched off by electrical means after reproduction of the recorded messages. As shown, closure of a key JA19 energizes a relay H11 to operate a clutch K6 and to start a motor M13, thus initiating reproduction from a record TT7. Speech impulses are transmitted by a pick-up S4 through an amplifier WV3 to a subscriber Tl and also through a further amplifier GR8 to a slow-releasing relay J10, which operates to hold H11, the key JA19 being released. Short intervals between impulses are bridged with the aid of a condenser K09. When the speech impulses cease, relay J10 releases, followed by the rest of the equipment.
