Abstract

656,790. Loose-leaf binders. HEADY, S. J. April 16, 1948, No. 10584. [Class 146 (i)] A loose-leaf binder comprises superposed leaves 16 formed with opposed notches 17 in their side edges and a binder comprising front and back cover flaps 11, 12 hingedly connected to a backing 15 and provided with notches 18 along the hinge lines and registering with the notches 17, the leaves and binder being held together by a rubber band 19. More than one band 19 may be used or the band may be crossed at the back. The edges of the notches 18 may be reinforced by a metal edging or a strip of metal may extend across the cover. The leaves 16 may be provided with a stub, and the notches 17 may be in the stub or partly in the stub and partly in the leaves. The leaves 16 may be formed with a stub portion as described and claimed in Specification 656,791. Specification 27337/09, [Class 146 (i)], also is referred to.
