Abstract
656,036. Handles of hollow-ware containers. SIMMANS, G. J., and IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Dec. 22, 1948, No. 33061. [Class 66] The ends of the bail handle of a paint can, or keg &c. are so formed that they are readily secured by pressing them over studs 2 which project from the wall of the can. The studs 2 may be grooved or have enlarged heads. The handle 1 may be of strip metal or resin-impregnated fibrous sheet material and may have its edges folded over to stiffen it and to fasten to each of its ends a clip 4 formed with projecting tongues 5, or the material of the handle may be formed with a key-hole slot and a projecting tongue to act as the clip 4.
