Abstract

A bobbin for use in textile machines has at least its head and base moulded from a synthetic resin to which a rubber-like material or elastomer has been added, the mixture being polymerized by methods commonly used in moulding plastic materials. The elastomer may be a co-polymer of the butadiene-acrylonitrile type and the resin of the phenol-formaldehyde type. Natural rubber may be used with artificial resins compatible with it. Specification 540,535, [Group IX], is referred to.
