Abstract

651,232. Knitting-machines. HEMPHILL CO. Nov. 11, 1948, No. 29355. Convention date, Jan. 17. [Class 74 (ii)] The gap in the latch ring of a circular machine is closed by a pair of pivoted members 7, 8 which are urged towards one another by springs 13, 14 but which yield to permit yarn guides 4 to pass between them. The members 7, 8 slide in grooves 19 in the ring and each member acts as a resilient stop for the other.
