[Class 88 (ii)] A bass drum has an internal frame comprising a radial or rectangular structure on which other instruments are supported by fittings passing through the drum shell. These fittings may slide telescopically into the internal frame or may be screwed to it and include four legs having pointed ends for engaging the floor and adjustable, castors which can be locked against swivelling. The extended legs may carry a support pillar for a side drum or any necessary pedal fittings.
