Abstract

Vitamin preparations are recovered from livers poor in oil, especially from whale livers by extraction with edible oils or edible fats accompanied by heating or pressing the mixture of the water-containing livers with fat or oil being digested under vacuum until the water has evaporated off. The digestion may be repeated with oil. An example is given.
