Abstract

649,602. Resilient supports. S.A.G.A. SOC. APPLICAZIONI GOMMA ANTIVIBRANTI. May 27, 1948, No. 14373. Convention date, July 9, 1945. [Class 108(iii)] In a resilient support of the type comprising a pad of rubber and a metal attachment member or members bonded to the pad, the attachment member or members is or are constituted by a plate or plates of metal of a smaller size as regards diameter or length and or breadth dimension than the pad, the plate or plates being let into the face of the pad with the external face of the plate flush therewith. In the arrangement according to Fig. 2 a metal disc 2 carrying a screwed stud 3 is inset into the upper face of a pad 1, while in another arrangement, Fig. 4, a metal strip 4 is also inset into the lower face of the pad for securing the latter to a foundation or the like. In a modification, (Fig. 5, not shown), a metal strip is inset into the lower face of the pad at each end only thereof. The pad may be of any cross sectional shape and may be formed with apertures or cavities.
