Abstract

646,798. Windscreen - wipers. O'SHEA, W. E. July 30, 1947, No. 20552. [Class 138(i)] In a windscreen-wiper blade comprising a plurality of strips of flexible material secured within a backing member, the outer plies, constructed of natural rubber, are stepped back from the central ply .or pair of plies which are made of a petrol and oil resistant synthetic rubber-like material. Specifications 287,890, [Class 138(i)], and 523,486 are referred to. According to the Provisional Specification the outer plies may be made of material other than natural rubber which need not possess petrol and oil resisting properties.
