Abstract

645,494. Mowing-machine. TRIGGS, W. W. (Toledo Stamping & Manufacturing Co.). Oct. 7, 1947, No. 26910. [Class 6(iii)] A finger for a mower having reciprocating blades is formed from two stampings 10, 11, the lower stamping 10 having a downwardly open channel shaped body portion 14 and a rearwardly extending portion 17 for attachment to the underside of the mower cutter bar. The upper stamping 11 is secured to the lower stamping 10 by welding or brazing and is formed with a guard 23 for the mower blades. A ledger plate 12 is secured to the stamping 10 by a rivet 25 and a lip 20 on the stamping 10. The rear portion 17 is provided with flanges which protrude from the side thereof and cooperate with flanges on adjacent fingers to locate the fingers on the Gutter bar.
