Abstract
642,595. Bolting. TREVARTHEN, W. G. June 30, 1947, No. 17152. Convention date, Feb. 8,1946. [Class 89(i)] For fixing articles to plaster board, plywood &c. by screws. or nails a panel 1, Figs. 1 and 2, of material suitable for receiving screws &c. is secured to the board by a bolt 5 and elongated nut 3 passed through a slot 4 and turned to cross it. The nut has a part 3a that fits in the slot and prevents turning during the tightening of the bolt. For use with wood screws the member 3 may be of wood. The member may be initially bowed to exercise spring pressure on the board and the ends may be provided with teeth to bite into the board. The panel 1 may also be provided with teeth or projections. The bolt 5 may be integral with a hook, an eye, or may be otherwise formed to permit the direct suspension of articles. For fixing mirrors &c. these take the place of panels such as 1.
