[Class 38 (iv)] [Also in Groups XVIII and XXXVIII] A remote water level indicating and alarm or control device for boilers and the like comprises a float a in a float box having top and bottom connections f and g to a boiler, and a float-operated contact arm which through conducting strips t connected to lamps 0-3 at the remote end gives indication of levels above or below normal. Extra warning lamps (green and red) show when maximum and minimum levels are reached and selector switches may be set to operate, at given levels, through relays a1 or z1, an alarm or control circuit, which latter may start or stop an electric fluid feed pump.
