Abstract

641,596. Vehicle wheels. TITAN ABRASIVES CO. Dec. 31, 1946, No. 38125. Convention date, April 8. [Class 144 (i)] A detachable wheel has key-hole slots 14 for co-operation with bolts 19 permanently carried by the fixed brake-drum &c. 12, each slot having an enlarged end 14a through which the bolt-head 19c may be passed, the other end of the slot having an enlarged portion 14c, of lesser diameter than the bolt-head, engaged by the neck 19b of the bolt to lock the wheel in its position of use. Preferably, the slots are so arranged that the braking-torque acts in the direction of the locked position of the wheel.
