Abstract

641,356. Measuring bridges. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. July 11, 1947, No. 18497. [Class 37] [Also in Group XL (c)] The output of a bridge is applied to an attenuator whose attenuation increases with applied voltage, and consisting of two oppositely directed rectifiers 10, 11 shunting part of the primary of a transformer 8 feeding a valve 7. The invention is particularly applicable to automatically balanced bridges, the out-ofbalance current being fed to the transformer 8 and the output 6 controlling the variable arm of the bridge.
