631,728. Protective cut-out systems. UNION D'ELECTRICITE. April 23, 1946, No. 12298 Convention date, Nov. 20, 1945. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect.' 91 of the Acts, Oct. 24, 1946.] [Class 38(v)] In a modification of the arrangement described in Specification 631,725 the rectifiers r' .. r<SP>A</SP> are arranged to work on a substantially-linear portion of their voltagecurrent curves, the rectifiers being connected in two networks I, II, which deliver at terminals A, B, a direct voltage Uc dependent on the sum u 1 +u 2 and difference u 1 -u 2 of the voltages applied to the networks. The votages u 1 , u 2 , are made equal in amplitude by limiters 1, 2, so that the curve of voltage Uc is linear, Figs. 2, 4, (not shown), and they preferably have a rectangular wave-form, Fig. 3, (not shown). The voltage Uc may be used to control release or locking relays, Fig. 7, (not shown), to measure the phase angle between voltages u 1 , u 2 , Fig. 8, (not shown), and to measure the direction of the phase difference therebetween, Fig. 9, (not shown). Specification 631,726 also is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also part of the subject-matter of Specification 631,726. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
