Abstract

639,835. Trays ; tables. JAMES, D. M. March 10, 1947, No. 6664. [Classes 52 (iii) and 128] In a tray of the type having recesses or ridges 2 in the surface for positioning utensils and cutlery electrical heating elements 4 are housed within the tray and legs 8 collapsable beneath the tray are provided for converting the tray into a table. As shown in Fig. 2, heating elements 4 are housed in a cavity 3 on the undersurface and may be adapted for ready removal. The legs 8 pivotally mounted at 7 are held in closed position by a catch 9. In extended position of the legs, as shown in Fig. 4, an extension 10, secured to or formed integral with the pivot 7, engages a recess 11 at the end of a leaf spring 12 secured at the other end to the undersurface of the tray. The legs may be provided with castors or runners to convert the table into a trolley or dinner wagon.
